Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year here at Price T. Young Elementary! Our mission at PTY is to create an environment where every day is a new day and is safe, loving and fun-centered! Our students are taught with high expectations for all and molded to have self-confidence and know they are capable individuals. Our new school opened in the fall of 2017 as a part of the Marshall ISD Legacy 2017 building program. The school was constructed on the site of the old Price T. Young Middle School, which closed and was demolished following the 2016-2017 school year. The new PTY Elementary houses students in grades K-5 and is a consolidation of former George Washington Carver Elementary and J.H. Moore Elementary. PTY achieved a "Met Standard" accountability rating from the Texas Education Agency in 2019, and improved by 10 points in the state's new grading system. We credit the hard work of our students and staff in continuing to move PTY to become the elementary school we are proud of here in Marshall, Texas! School hours at PTY are 7:50 a.m. to 3:21 p.m., Monday through Friday, during the school year. Students are released at 12:20 p.m. on designated Early Release days.
